First, visit any trainer in the main cities of old Azeroth - just ask a guard, and learn Apprentice Engineering. Northrend trainers can also teach you every recipe from 1 to 450.

  • 1 - 30

    40 x [Rough Blasting Powder] - 40 Rough Stone

This recipe goes yellow at 20, so get enough materials to use this recipe 40 times.

50 - 125

Visit your trainer, and learn Journeyman Engineering.

  • 100 -105

5 x [Practice Lock] - 10 Handful Copper Bolts, 5 Bronze Bar, 5 Weak flux

125 - 205

Visit your trainer, and learn Expert Engineering.

  • 125 -150

    40 x [Heavy Blasting Powder] - 40 Heavy Stone

    and

    20 x [Whirring Bronze Gizmo] - 40 Bronze Bar, 20 Wool Cloth

You will need 40 [Heavy Blasting Powder] and 20 [Whirring Bronze Gizmo] later, and if you make these you should reach 150 skill point.

  • 150 - 155

    20 x [Bronze Framework] - 40 Bronze Bar, 20 Medium Leather, 20 Wool Cloth

by making them now, you might get a lot further - probably towards 160, then stop making these and only make more when you'll need them.

  • 155 -175

20 x [Explosive Sheep] - 40 Heavy Blasting Powder, 20 Whirring Bronze Gizmo, 20 Bronze Framework, 40 Wool Cloth

  • 175 - 176

The recipe will be yellow, so you might not gain any skill up, but you will need this item later. You will have to make only one of this, don't make more if you don't gain skill up.

    1 x [Gyromatic Micro-Adjustor] - 4 Steel Bar

  • 176 - 195

    90 x [Solid Blasting Powder] - 180 Solid Stone

Extremely cheap! On my realm it costs 1 gold/stack. Save some of these, because you will need it later.

205 - 280

Visit your trainer and learn Artisan Engineering.

Engineering has the option at skill level 200 to specialize in Gnomish or Goblin Engineering. The main difference between both sides is the location of their respective teleporters and the ability of their trinkets. Some items require a specific specialization to use, while other items are crafted by one specialization but are usable by any engineer. Fortunately, most recipes that are crafted by one Specialization can be worn by both.

Gnomish Engineering

Goblin Engineering

  • 200 - 210

12 x [Unstable Triggers] 12 Mithril Bar, 12 Mageweave Cloth, 12 Solid Blasting Powder

    Save these.

  • 235 - 245

    10 x [Hi-Explosive Bomb] - 20 Mithril Casings, 10 Unstable Trigger, 20 Solid Blasting Powder

  • 250 - 260

    20 x [Dense Blasting Powder] - 40 Dense Stone

Save these and if you don't reach 260 by making these, make a few more [Mithril Gyro-Shot].

280 - 350

Go to Outland or Northrend, visit your trainer, and learn Master Engineering

.

  • 310-320

If you don't reach 320 by making the recipes below, you should make [Fel Iron Bombs] until 320. But then you also need to make a few more Fel Iron Bolts and the other materials.

10 x [4 Elemental Blasting Powder] - 20 Mote of Earth, 10 Mote of Fire

    Save these.

15 x [Fel Iron Casing] - 45 Fel Iron Bar

You will need around 15 of these later, but I suggest you to make these until it goes grey, then only make more when you'll need them.

  • 320 - 325

5 x [Fel Iron Musket] - 5 Heavy Stock, 15 Fel Iron Casing, 30 Handful of Fel Iron Bolts

  • 325 - 335

10 x [Adamantite Grenade] 40 Adamantite Bar, 10 Elemental Blasting Powder, 20 Handful of Fel Iron Bolts

350 - 450

Go to Northrend, visit your trainer and learn Grand Master Engineering.

  • 350 - 370

You will need around 50 [Handful of Cobalt Bolts] and 36 [Volatile Blasting Trigger] later. Make these now, and you should reach 375 or probably more. Note that when you craft [Handful of Cobalt Bolts] you can get 1 or 3 bolts, and the same goes for [Volatile Blasting Trigger], you will get 2 [Volatile Blasting Trigger] each craft.

    35 x [1-3 Handful of Cobalt Bolts] - 70 Cobalt Bar

  • 390 - 400

Save these too, you will need them later.

You will probably reach more than 400, then stop making these and make more only if you need it.

    15 x [Froststeel Tube] - 120 Cobalt Bar, 15 Crystallized Water

  • 405 - 410

5 x [Box of Bombs] - 25 Saronite Bar, 5 Volatile Blasting Trigge

  • 425 - 430

Make [Global Thermal Sapper Charge] between 425-435, if you are a Goblin Engineer.

7 x [Mechanized Snow Goggles] - 56 Saronite Bar, 14 Borean Leather, 7 Eternal Shadow

  • 430 - 435

5 x [Noise Machine] - 10 Froststeel Tube, 10 Overcharged Capacitor, 40 Handful of Cobalt Bolts

  • 435 - 449

When you reach 435, you can make your [Wormhole Generator: Northrend] and your epic Engineering Helm at 440, however if you want to level your Engineering past 440, you should wait with both until 448, because there are only green recipes at that point, but the Goggles and the [Wormhole Generator: Northrend] are still orange.

29 x [Gnomish Army Knife] - 250 Saronite Bar, 25 Skinning Knife, 25 Minning Pick, 25 Blacksmithing Hammer

WoW Enchanting Leveling Guide 1 - 450

Before you start this Enchanting guide, first lets see which items gives what, when you disenchant it. Go to my Disenchanting Guide, there you can find all the information you need.

First, visit any trainer in the main cities of old Azeroth - just ask a guard, and learn Apprentice Enchanting.

Check out my Enchanting guide 1-110. It's about leveling Enchanting from 1 to 110 with almost no cost at all.

I also recommend you to go to the Auction House right now and search for these recipes: [Formula: Enchant Bracer - Greater Stamina] - [Formula: Enchant Boots - Greater Stamina]

50 - 135

Learn Enchanting Journeyman.

  • 90-100

10 x [Enchant Bracer: Minor Stamina] - 30 Strange Dust

  • If the Strange Dust is cheap and the Greater Magic Essence is too expensive on your realm, you can make this Enchant up to 120.

  • 100-101

1 x [Runed Silver Rod] - 1 Silver Rod, 6 Strange Dust, 3 Greater Magic Essence, 1 Runed copper Rod

135 - 200

Learn Enchanting Expert.

  • 155-156

1 x [Runed Golden Rod] - 1 Golden Rod, 1 Iridescent Pearl, 2 Greater Astral Essence, 2 Soul Dust, 1 Runed Silver Rod

200 - 275

Learn Enchanting Artisan.

  • 204-205

[Runed Truesilver Rod] 1 Truesilver Rod, 1 Black Pearl, 2 Greater Mystic Essence, 2 Vision Dust, 1 Runed Golden Rod

  • 250-260

  • 340-350

15 x [Superior Wizard Oil] - 45 Arcane Dust, 15 Nighmare Vine, 15 Imbued Vial - Recipe location

This recipe is yellow already when you learn it, so you might need to make 14-16.

351 - 450

Go to Northrend and learn Enchanting Grand Master. Click here for the trainer list.

From this point most of the Enchants will be REALLY expensive. You should put them on a Vellum or look for people who have the materials and tell them you will do the Enchant for free.

  • 375-376

1 x [Runed Eternium Rod] - 1 Eternium Rod, 6 Greater Planar Essence, 6 Arcane Dust, 1 Runed Adamantite Rod

  • 425-426

1 x [Runed Titanium Rod] - 1 Titanium Rod, 40 Infinite Dust, 12 Greater Cosmic Essence, 8 Dream Shard, 1 Runed Eternium Rod

  • 445-447

You can make this one up to 450 if you want to, it's basically free skill-ups since you're going to either use the Dusts/Essences anyway or you can sell them for more than you got the Crystals for.

  • 100 - 105

    5 x [Silver Rod] - 5 Silver Bar, 10 Rough Grinding Stone

125 - 200

Learn Blacksmithing Expert.

  • 125 - 150

    50 x [Heavy Grinding Stone] - 150 Heavy Stone

You should stop at 150 though if you reach that before making all 50, as the recipe goes grey at this point - then if you need all 50 later on make them at that point instead.

  • 150 - 155

    5 x [Golden Rod] - 5 Gold Bar, 10 Coarse Grinding Stone

200 - 275

Learn Blacksmithing Artisan.

At skill level 200 and character level 40, Blacksmiths can choose to specialize as an Armorsmith or a Weaponsmith. Weaponsmiths can later further specialize into Hammer-, Axe- or Swordsmiths. All specialized armor and weapons are Bind on Pickup and can only be used by the blacksmith that made them. Most specialization recipes require difficult components, such as Primal Mights, Primal Nethers, and Nether Vortexes. If you want to read more about Blacksmith specialization, please visit these pages: Armorsmithing or Weaponsmithing.

  • 235 - 250

Check AH, if you can see the Mithril Spurs recipe and it's not that expensive, buy it and make those until 255.

    15 x [Mithril Coif] - 150 Mithril Bar, 90 Mageweave Cloth

275 - 350

Go to Outland and learn Blacksmithing Master.

  • 275 - 290

Between 275-280, you can make [Arcanite Rods] and sell them at the Auction House. This way you will need 55 less [Thorium Bars]. The recipe is yellow, so it really depends on your luck, maybe you will only need to make 5 maybe 10. One [Arcanite Rod] costs around 18 gold to make if you buy the [Arcane Crystals] and find any Alchemist who transmute them into [Arcanite Bars]. The 55 [Thorium Bars] cost around 140 gold usually, but this way if you have to make only 5 [Arcanite Rod], you will end up around 90 gold spent, and you can also sell them for profit. I can usually sell them for around 70-80 gold, but you have to be patient because the demand for them isn't that big. Anyway this is a great way if you want to reduce the gold spent while you level your Blacksmithing, but if you want to level the profession faster and you don't really feel you are lucky or you are not really into selling things at the Auction House, you should just make the Bracers mentioned below.

15 x [Imperial Plate Bracers] 180 Thorium Bar

The recipe is a reward from this quest. - 10 Thorium Bar

  • 290 - 300

Choose one from the recipes listed below. They both requires 12 Thorium Bar for each craft, the only difference between them is that you need 1 Star Ruby for the Helm and 8 Rugged Leather for the Boots.

    10 x [Thorium Boots] - 120 Thorium Bar, 80 Rugged Leather

    or

    10 x [Thorium Helm] - 120 Thorium Bar, 10 Star Ruby

350 - 450

Go to Northrend and learn Blacksmithing Grand Master.

  • 415 - 425

13 x [Eternal Belt Buckle] - 52 Saronite Bar, 13 Eternal Earth, 13 Eternal Shadow, 13 Eternal Water

  • Make these until 425. You can sell these at the auction house, so you will get most of your gold back.

  • 445 - 450

You can continue to make [Daunting Legplates], but the recipe will be green. Other option is to craft epic items for other players, or you can buy the materials and try to sell the crafted items on the Auction House

Once you reach an Alchemy skill of 325 and level 68, you may begin a quest to learn one of three specializations: Potions, Elixirs or Transmutations. Being specialized gives you a chance to create an extra 1 to 4 (for a total 5) items while crafting in the field you have selected. For example, a Master of Potions may be able to craft more than one [Super Mana Potion] for the same material cost as one.

Both Elixir and Potion master requires instance runs for the quest items and it can be hard to find groups to those old instances, so here is a little trick which can save you a lot of time.

Choose the path of Transmute Master. Buy 4 [Primal Might] or farm the required materials for 4 [Primal Might]. Go to Netherstorm, talk to Transmute Master and become a Transmute Master. Unlearn your specialization by talking to the master again, then go to the Elixir Master or to the Potion Master depends on which path you want to choose, of course if you want to be a Transmute master, you can skip this part. It costs 150 gold each time you unlearn your specialization.

350 - 450

Go to Northrend and learn Alchemy Grand Master.

  • 415 - 425

This recipe turns green at 422, so you might need to make more than 20.

    20 x [Runic Mana Potion] - 20 Goldcover, 40 Lichbloom, 20 Imbued Vial

  • 435-450

You can make any flask you want or make the one that you need for raiding. Between 435-440 you can also make [Transmute: Skyflare Diamond]

Mining Guide 1-450

First, visit any trainer in the main cities of old Azeroth - just ask a guard, and learn Apprentice Mining.

1-65

Download the following addon: Gatherer

This addon shows you every Mining node location on your map, like you will see on the pictures in the guide. The addon and the databse can be found here.

I recommend you to get the following enchant: [Formula: Enchant Gloves - Advanced Mining] you can just buy any low level gloves from a vendor and enchant that one with this Enchant, equip the gloves when you level your mining. Check the Auction House and if there is any [Scroll of Enchant Gloves - Advanced Mining] available, buy it. When you reach the thorium part, it will save you a lot of time because you will be able to mine the Rich Thorium Veins a lot sooner.

When you have around 30 copper Ore, go and Smelt them and repeate the cycle, go mine ores then smelt them. Save the Copper Bars, you will need them.

Durotar - [Copper Ore]

Dun Morogh - [Copper Ore]

Alternative Map:

Basically just every starter zone. I won't include mining ways for these, because you can find copper everywhere you go.

65-125

Learn Mining Journeyman.

[Tin Ore], [Silver Ore], [Copper Ore]

This is a really bad part, Tin is the hardest to find there is not a single zone, where you can only find Tin, there is always Copper or Iron aswell. I usually mine Tin until 75, then I smelt all of my Ores. After that, I turn my Copper and Tin Bars into Bronze Bars. This should take you around 90-95 Mining skill.

At 75 you can learn how to smelt Silver Ore. This will help you get your skill to 125. Silver Ore and bars sell for rougly the same, buy the ore and sell the bars at the auction house. However on some high populated servers, Ores are extremely expensive, then you should just mine Tin and Smelt Bronze until 125. If you find any Silver Vein, smelt the ores before you reach 115 in Mining, because it's better to smelt them while they are still yellow or orange and Smelt Silver turns green at 122.

[Iron Ore], [Tin Ore], [Gold Ore]

At 155 you can learn how to smelt Gold Ore. Buy 30 Gold Ore and smelt them, that should get you around 175. Same as with Silver Ores, buy them if they are not expensive, smelt them and sell the bars at the Auction House.

175-245

[Mithril Ore], [Truesilver Ore]

The Hinterlands

The Hinterlands map

Tanaris

Tanaris map

245-300

[Thorium Ore]

This one is a tricky part. Thorium is pretty rare and are farmed by a lot of players, because it's damn expensive.

Get 5 skill by mining Small Thorium Veins. Then visit your trainer and learn how to smelt Thorium Bar. You should buy around 50 ores from the Auction House and smelt ores until 270 (you can mine nodes until 270, but it will be a lot slower), so you will need only 5 points until you can mine Rich Thorium Veins (you can mine them right away, if you have this enchant: [Formula: Enchant Gloves - Advanced Mining]). When you reach 270, you can sell the Thorium Bars at the Auction House for almost the same price you bought them.

I only recommend Winterspring for players level 65 or higher. You can go there at lower levels too, but there is like 2 place where you will have hard time to get in and mine those Rich Thorium Veins. Eastern Plagueland is better if you are lower than level 65. If you go to Winterspring and you play on a high populated server, usually there is always someone there who already farm the area. It's the best place and if you can't find nodes there, it's because the place is already farmed by someone else, not because the place suck. If this is the case, go to Silithus which is also a really good place, but I also don't really recommend it to lower level players, all of the Rhich Thoriums are in caves there which are filled with level 60 mobs, of course you can clear the caves but it will slow down the leveling speed.

Winterspring

Silithus

The red areas are the caves. There are usually 2-3 caves in every red area and they are filled with Rich Thorium Veins. You should be using Gatherer by this time already, it really helps you a lot. When you reach 275, you can just go from caves to caves and you can skip the Small Thorium nodes.

Skinning Guide 1-450

Up to skinning 100, you can find out the highest level mob you can skin by: ((Skinning skill)/10)+10. Example: ( 50 / 10 ) +10 = 15

From skinning level 100 and up the formula is simply: (Skinning skill)/5. Example: (175 / 5 = 35)

Skinning is the best combined with Leatherworking, If you want to level your Leatherworking too, make sure to check out my Leatherworking leveling Guide.

With the Skinning Enchant to gloves, you can skin an enemy 1 level higher than you normally would be able to do so. Skinning does not have any character level requirements in order to learn the next skill proficiency level. Please note that even if a mob is red/orange to you, that this DOES NOT guarantee that you'll get a skill up. It's more likely, but not to be expected every time.

Visit any Skinning Trainer located in World of Warcraft, and learn Skinning Apprentice.

Don't forget to buy the SKINNING KNIFE. I always forgot it. After you bought the knife, just follow the zones listed in the guide. This knife does NOT have to be equipped.

Beasts in the immediate starting area can't be skinned, because that area is for level 1-6 players and you won't have any profession until you reach level 5.

Alliance:

From 1 to 50 make a circle around that lake near Ironforge, when you reach 50 you can go and visit your Skinning trainer at Ironforge and learn Journeyman Skinning. After you learned it, you can continue to level your Skinning until around 75, while you move toward Loch Modan. Keep in mind, it's not guaranteed that you will reach 75, but if you won't reach it you can just still go to Loch Modan, lower skill will be enough too.

From 1 to 75 you will start at Sen'Jin Village in Durotar and head toward Orgrimmar, while you skin every beast you see. When you reach Orgrimmar, visit your Skinning trainer and learn Journeyman Skinning. After that, fly to Crossroads which is located in The Barrens. Keep in mind, it's not guaranteed that you will reach 75, but if you won't reach it you can just still go to Orgrimmar, Skinning 50 will be enough too.

75-155/165 Skinning Guide

Alliance:

From 75 to 115 follow the path you see on the picture below, after you reach 115 you can head toward Wetlands. If you go there at lower Skinning level, there might be some beast which you won't be able to Skin.

From 115 to around 140, follow that river you see on the picture and Skin the beasts you find. At 140 or a bit more, you will reach the city and you will have to fly to Ironforge in order to learn Expert Skinning. After you learned the skill, fly back to Wetlands and continue to level up your Skinning until 155, so you will be able to skin the level 31 Raptors in Arathi, which is the next part in this Skinning Guide.

Horde:

75-125 Skin the beasts you find while you head toward Camp Taurajo. Make sure that you have Skinning 125 when you reach the Camp, else Dranh at Camp Taurajo won't be able to teach Expert Skinning to you. From 125 to 165 head toward Thousand Needles and skin the beasts you see. To be honest, I feel sorry for Alliance players at this point of the Skinning guide. Horde players have such a good traveling roads, it's a lot easier to level Skinning as a Horde player than as an Alliance.

155/165-205 Skinning Guide

Alliance:

Follow that path on the map from 155-170, when you reach 170 you can head toward the orange 170-205 part. You will find higher level raptors there. However there are level 36-37 raptors at the south-east corner of the orange zone. Don't go there until you have Skinning 180. After you reached Skinning 205, you can go to Ironforge and learn Artisan Skinning. When you learned the skill, go to Feralas.

Horde:

From 165 to 205 just follow the path you see on the picture. Make sure that you have Skinning 205 before you leave Thousand Needles. After 205 go to Tanaris and fly to Feralas, at Feralas find Kulleg Stonehorn he will teach you Artisan Skinning.

205-300 Skinning Guide

From 205 to 230 just skin mobs around Camp Mojache, this one is doable for both Horde and Alliance. When you reach 230, mount up and head towards the Yeti cave, it's where you can see the 230-260 part on the map. If the Yeti cave is farmed by someone you can head to South and kill Hippogryphs. After you reached 260, follow the path to the 260-280 part. There is another Yeti cave there, but those Yetis are higher levels. When you killed all of them, you can find a lot of beasts in front of the cave. At Skinning 280 you can fly to Un'goro Crater, however you can stay here too, and skill up your skinning by killing the beast in front of the cave.

Go to Thrallmar and find Moorutu if you are Horde player, he will teach you Master Skinning. For Alliance go to Honor Hold and find Jelena Nightsky. The paths on the map are pretty straightforward. Just follow those paths and when you reach 330, go to Nagrand.
