    Discipline Builds

  • 1 - 57/13/0 +1 - Raid Healing #1 -This spec has all of the Discipline tools available. The one free is usualy put in either Healing Focus or Desperate Prayer. It is also possible to drop some talents in the discipline tree to be able to pick up Improved Healing, this would usually be done by dropping Renewed Hope, Aspiration and/or Enlightenment.

  • 2 - 53/18/0 - Raid Healing #2 -This spec trades 4 points in Disc for Improved Healing. In Disc I would sacrifice and go with 1/2 Grace, 1/3 Improved Flash Heal, and without Power Infusion. The 2 points in Spell Warding can be spent at your discretion.

  • 3 - 57/14/0

  • 4 - 57/14/0

  • 5 - 57/3/11 - Disc Healing/Off-DPS Build -This build is focused on soloing but can be used in a 5 man if geared ok. Spell Rotation: Shadow Word: Pain, Devouring Plague, Penance, Holy Fire, Mind Blast, Mind Flay.

  • 6 - 56/15/0 - Disc Raid Healing Build -Discipline priests aren't built to be adept as the main raid healer, and even have trouble with certain types of heroic fights I've discovered (namely the ones that require intensive, consistent AOE healing), but they are very useful in a raid if the correct talents are chosen, and with a little ingenuity, you can overcome most of the "set backs." Besides that, you'll make an awesome Tank/OT healer.

  • Holy Builds

  • 1 - 14/57/0 - Holy Raid Healing -Good raid healing spec

  • 2 - 14/57/0

  • 3 - 14/57/0

  • 1 - 13/0/58 -Heavy Raid DPS Build

  • 2 - 14/0/57 -Same as above without focused mind but has inner focus

    Beast Mastery Builds

  • 1 - 52/19/0 - General Beast Spec

  • 2 - 52/19/0 - Instance/Raid Beast Build

  • 3 - 57/17/0 - Beast PVP Spec

  • 4 - 53/11/7 - Raiding Beast Spec -Some version of this build will likely be the choice of most BM hunters.

  • 5 - 60/11/0 - Solo Instance Build #1

  • 6 - (20pts) - Pet Build For Solo Instance Build #1

  • Raiding Pets - The Highest DPS Pets For 3.1 are Devilsaurs And Wolves. To raid as BM in 3.1 it is imperative to take the 51 point talent, Beast Mastery. Whether to use an exotic pet is the individual hunter's choice, but the additional 4 pet talent points will be essential to get all the damage-enhancing pet talents, including the new Wild Hunt and Shark Attack. You will want a Ferocity pet.

  • 7 - (20pts) - DPS pet spec 1 -My personal choice of talents includes Dash for movement speed and 2/2 Bloodthirsty for survivability/happiness.

  • 8 - (20pts) - DPS pet spec 2 -Alternative spec favored by Har takes Charge for movement speed, 1/3 Great Stamina for survivability, and has one extra point that should be spent in Bloodthirsty.

  • Marksmanship Builds

  • 1 - 5/61/5 - General Marks Spec

  • 2 - 7/57/7 - Instance/Raid Marks Build

  • 3 - 0/51/20 - Markmanship PVP Spec

  • 4 - 11/53/7 - MM spec -PVE optimal dps, this is having a mana battery or so in your raid.

  • Survival Builds

  • 1 - 3/14/54 - Survival -Highend uber-geared raiders will consider this Raid build to be crap. And if you are a Highend ubergeared raider this build would be crap for you. However, this build is intended for the more causual or noob raider. It will not give you the highest possible dps. However it is a more forgiving build overall to play (easier)and has a bit more utility then the highend builds I have seen so far, it allows you to have a little less experience and be a bit less quick but still perform pretty well. It does work with the assumption that you don't have a very high Agility stat yet. If you can't make the hitcap without Focused Aim, I suggest you make a sacrifice in either Trap Mastery , Thrill of the Hunt, Resourcefulness or Noxious Stings

  • 2 - 0/14/57 - General Trap Dancer

  • 3 - 3/16/52 - General Sniper

  • 4 - 0/19/52 - Instance Trap Dancer

  • 5 - 5/15/51 - Instance Sniper

  • 6 - 18/53/0 - PVP Spec

  • 7 - 1/14/56 - Mechanize' survival spec -Steady, Explosive shot, Hawk glyph

  • Hybrid Talent Builds

  • 1 - 40/31/0 - Raid Support -Some hunters out there that are not into PvP might be wondering what the dualspec has to offer them. They may find this a usefull suggestion. This specc is probably only worth going for in 25 man raids or maybe when your off to raid a capital or WG. Also before taking this build these rules of thumb are suggested; the lowest dps gear rating in your raid is somewhere around 1900 on WoW-heroes, you are the lowest dps hunter or can get the most dps out of this build, whichever leads to the smallest decrease in overall dps. The major drawback of this build is that it will pretty much cut your dps in half, if however you followed the rules of thumb above it will be like you brought between 1,5/2 extra dps'ers to the raid overall. Make sure that the other hunters understand that your Hunter's Mark goes on the big boss and they should stick theirs elsewhere, don't forget to smack yours on the add that needs to be burned down quick too. This build loses pretty much all its value if there is a MM hunter in your raid and quit some value if their is a BM hunter in your raid. It is however a big bonus to the SV hunters in your raid.

  • 2 - 41/30/0 - General

  • 3 - 41/30/0 - Instance/Raid

  • 4 - 11/22/38 - PVP Hybrid Spec

    (Information provided by http://hunterbuilds.com/)
  • Shaman Builds

    Elemental Builds

  • 1 - 60/11/0 - PvP spec -Still maintains very decent burst bps, improved survivabilty and utility (root and nova stun) while keeping that oh-so-precious blue bar alive. Glyphs: stoneclaw, totem of wrath, shocking

  • 2 - 51/20/0

  • 3 - 57/14/0

  • 4 - 55/16/0 - Elemental Build

  • Enhancement Builds

  • 1 - 16/55/0

  • 2 - 16/55/0

  • 3 - 16/55/0

  • 4 - 16/55/0

  • 5 - 15/56/0 - PvE Spec Standard -I am still investing 2 points into Improved Ghost Wolf because there is a very good chance that ability will come in handy while on Overcharge duty in the Flame Leviathan fight. Druids and Enhance shaman will be able to shift mid air and take off running to avoid taking additional damage. Plus I like Imp GW.

  • 6 - 18/53/0 - Raid focused This spec pulls 2 points out of Imp GW (/sob) and 2 points out of Imp WF Totem which assumed there is a Death Knight in the raid providing Improved Icy Touch. Reinvest those points into the elemental tree for extra Totem damage and then throw one into SF just for kicks.

  • 7 - 11/60/0 - PvP SpecA variation on this theme would be to drop Anticipation and reinvest those point into Elemental Fury.

  • 8 - 17/54/0 - Mana Replenishment Spec

  • Restoration Builds

  • 1 - 0/16/55

  • 2 - 0/16/55

  • 3 - 0/13/58

  • 4 - 0/16/55 - Restoration PvE 25 Raid Spec 3.1 -This will most likely be the best pve restoration spec for large raiding groups in easy to medium difficulty content.

  • Restoration Builds

  • 1 - 11/0/60 - The Compromise build -Keeps both nature’s grace and replenish at the expense of tranquil spirit & improved tranquility. (If you drop out replenish from this one, you end up with something like the tank healing build I posted first, or you can pick up something like natural perfection instead of replenish).

  • 2 - 14/0/57 - Nourish-focused tank healing build -What it misses is more AOE focused talents (replenish & imp tranquility). It contains Nature’s Grace and full tranquil spirit to benefit Nourish with HOT healing the most. I actually think my final build will be something closer to this.

  • 3 - 11/0/60 - The raid healer build -Contains more AOE healing bonus talents. Skips Nature’s Grace and a couple points out of tranquil spirit, since you won’t be using as much direct healing, and replenish will benefit you a lot. You could also drop living seed and pick up Nature's grace instead.

    Warrior Builds

This area lists warrior talent builds for World of Warcraft. Beta WOTLK warrior builds will be listed in the beta section above.

    Arms Builds

  • 3 - 55/15/1 - Arms Raid DPS

  • 4 - 55/16/0 - arms raid dps

  • 5 - 57/14/0 - arms PVP spec

  • Fury Builds

  • 1 - 18/53/0 - Pure Raid DPS Fury Spec -A few things to consider before looking at this spec:
    1. Commanding Pressence is worthless, considering we have a Pally with Improved Might every raid.
    2. The points in Improved Cleave could go nowhere else.
    3. 2/2 Improved Berserker Rage > 1/2 Improved berserker Rage + Anger management
    4. 5/5 Improved parry > 3/3 Iron Will imo... plus Tactical Mastery is worthless.

  • 2 - 18/53/0 - Fury DPS -Rotation: ww > bt > slam if proced > hs as rage dump when u can execute do it to replace slam and hs for rage dumps, but keep ww and bt in rotation.

  • Protection Builds

  • 1 - 8/0/63 - Rahbeed's Prot Spec PVP (level 79) -I am currently lvl 79 Prot spec and with the dungeons on my server not working I found a good number of people just dueling outside IF gates. I have my dungeon/raid prot spec rolling and am poor so I can't afford the duel spec yet. From my experience dueling last night I got a chance to really fine tune my tactics with 1 on 1 combat using that prot spec according to 3.1 changes.
Charging in and opening up with a Concussion Blow for the initial stun works amazingly. Get some DPS in while the stun times down and as the stun is about to expire, Shockwave. Depending on how long that stun lasts determines if I DPS or hit Shield Block.

  • 2 - 15/3/53

    Affliction Builds

  • 1 - 53/0/18 - Generic Affliction - The general deep affliction raiding build. Glyphs:Life Tap, Haunt, Curse of Agony Rotation: Life Tap>Shadow Bolt>Haunt>Corruption>Unstable Affliction >Curse of Agony - Under 25% you will be in execute phase and will replace Shadow Bolt with Drain Soul as your filler spell.

  • Demonology Builds

  • 1 - 00/56/15 - rDps -This spec is 100% reliant on you keeping your FG alive. Remember just because you have Soul Link, doesn't mean you should use it. If your FG dies, it's priority #1 to get it back up. Glyphs: Life Tap, Felgaurd, Immolate
  • 2 - 03/52/16
  • 3 - 23/48/0 - PvP Demo
  • 4 - 21/50/0 - SL/Felguard -self sustaining
  • 5 - 12/51/8 - Battleground PVP build -Basically, just stay alive until the dots and FG do their work. Imp Fear can take an enemy out of the fight for 10-15 secs because they leave, and are slowed in getting back.

  • Destruction Builds

  • 1 - 20161 - Raid Destruction -Glyphs:Life Tap, Conflagrate, Immolate Rotation Lifetap rank 1 ->Curse of Doom -> Immolate -> Conflag [backdraft starts] -> Choas bolt -> incin -> incin [backdraft ends]
  • 2 - 0/13/58 - Raid Replenishment -We use the same glyphs as 0/40/31 Spell Priority list: Life Tap 20 seconds> Immolate 15 seconds> Conflagrate 10 seconds> Choasbolt 12 seconds+cast time> Curse of Doom 60 seconds> Backdraft 15 seconds/3 charges Rotation will look like this: Lifetap rank 1 ->Curse of Doom -> Immolate -> Conflag [backdraft starts] -> Choas bolt -> incin -> incin [backdraft ends]
  • 3 - 0/19/52 - PVP DestroOpener SF>Fear>CoE>CB>Immo>Conflag>(Backdraft Proc)Incin x3 Depending on their remaining HP I would either continue with the x3 Incins or follow up with another SF>Shadowburn or Fear>Conflag>Shadowburn = Win.

  • Hybrid Talent Builds

  • 1 - 00/40/31 - Personal Dps Demo/Destro Hybrid -This spec is listed as the top dps by simcraft, though in practice it may end up about equal with the other specs. Glyphs: Life Tap, Conflagrate, Immolate

  • Hybrid Talent Builds

  • 1 - 0/31/40 - PVP AR/Prep Swords

  • 2 - 32/5/34 - Overkill + Premiditation
  • Leveling Builds:

Usualy I recomend using a combat/assasination build for leveling. I have listed the main combat build you may want to start with as it does a lot of sustained damage and is very good for PVE and for groups. To use this build just pick these talents in order:

  • 2 points Improved Sinister Strike
  • 3 points Improved Eviserate
  • 5 points Dual Wield Specialization
  • 2 points Improved Slice and Dice (level 21)
  • 5 points Precision
  • 1 point Endurance
  • 5 points Aggression
  • 1 point Bladeflurry (level 33)
  • 5 points Sword, or Mace (recomend not using Dagger or Fist for leveling)
  • 2 points Blade Twisting
  • 2 points Weapon Expertise
  • 1 point Adrenaline Rush (level 43)
  • 3 points Vitality
  • 1 point of either Endurance Improved Sprint or Improved Kick. (recomend Improved Kick)
  • 5 points Combat Potency
  • 1 point Surprise Attacks (level 53)
  • 2 points Savage Combat
  • 2 points Unfair advantage
  • 2 points Prey on the Weak
  • 1 point killing Spree (level 63)
  • 5 points Relentless Strikes
  • 2 points Malice (level 70)
  • Basically the meat of the build is now there and you now can spend points where you want them most.

Usually I put a point in Improved Kick and a couple points Improved Poisons.

If you follow putting you points in this way you will have very good build to PVE and grind with. Here is a link to this build:

    Leveling Build

I suggest not going Fist as there are not many good Fist weapons in the game till you get to level 70. At 70 Fist or Fist/Sword is a good combo you may like.

Daggers were mainly associated with PVP builds. With the new 3.0.2 build mutilate has become a very popular build due to the huge damage output it can now do. With the change to mutilate now you no longer have to be behind your target. Daggers can be used for PVE and PVP now without sacrificing damage output.

    How to Play a Rogue.

Learning how to play a rogue is a bit easier than it is to master most classes as we do not use a lot of skills compaired to some.

The main things you should know as a rogue is:

  • What rogue builds to use.

  • What gear to wear.

  • What rotations to use to do the most damage.

  • What skills to use to do the most damage.

  • What poisons to use and when not to poison.
  • 1. What Build To Use - Usually a combat build is best for PVE. Usually the sword or fist/sword is the best build for end game raiding for sustained DPS.

    2. Rogue Gear - Rogue gear is a part of how much damage you can do. I recomend using Shadow Panther as this is a very good site for ranking rogue gear and lists stats and a link of where the gear comes from. There is a big difference on the gear you want for PVP or for PVE. The weapons you use is pretty standard. You want to use a very slow weapon for your main hand weapon, a mistake a lot of rogues make is using high speed weapons in the main hand. The off hand weapon should be a high speed weapon unless you are using a mutilate spec.

    3. Combat Rotations - What rotations means is how many combo points to put into slice and then how many points to put into rupture/eviserate. A rotation is continuously repeated and is set so combo points are not wasted to keep slice and dice up without wasting points that can be used for damage.

    4. Skills - Rupture is the best finishing move that can be used on most bosses or mobs that take a long time to die. Exceptions are if the boss/mob is imune to rupture or if the mob will die before a rupture can go through its full set of ticks. Rotations on bosses should always use rupture unless they are imune to this.

On mobs/bosses where you have to interupt spells/abilities make sure you save enough energy to kick/kidney shot/gouge.

Make sure you use your cool downs when they are up but try to use them when they will be of most use though. Using a cool down when it is up for no reason is a wasted cool down. Most of our cool downs do not take long to come back so do not be afraid to use them.

    5. Poisons - In PVE usualy Deadly poison should always be on the off hand weapon. In most combat situations you should try to shiv with the offhand to keep the poison to stack 5 times and then shiv as needed to keep the poisons effect from falling off.

    Death Knight Builds

Blood Builds 17 Builds currently listed

Changes for 3.3 that effects blood:

    - Glyph of Disease no longer rolls diseases so Glyph of Dark Death may be a better choice for DPS.

    DPS Builds

  • 1 - 50/0/21 - Blood/Unholy DPS High DPS raiding spec using [Death Strike]. Rotation: PS>IT>HS>HS>DS>UB>(DC till rp is empty) HS>HS>HS>HS*(DS)HS>HS

  • 2 - 50/0/21 - Blood/Unholy DPS #2 Also a high DPS raiding spec, all of the major damage traits are the same just some difference in survivability.

  • 3 - 51/0/20 - Blood Pure PvE DPS This is a pure blood dps build for raids. Rotation: IT>PS>HSx2>DS>DC while runes refreshing to do [Heart Strikes] if diseases are still up.

  • 4 - 44/0/27 - Blood Ghoul High DPS raiding spec with perma ghoul, blood worms

  • 5 - 51/2/18 - Pure Raid DPS, Blood/Unholy Please note you can replace [Glyph of Rune Tap] with [Glyph of Dancing Rune Weapon] to increase damage.

Rotation: PS>IT>DS>HS>HS>Hyst>DRW>Refresh runes DS>HS>HS>HS>Blood tap>HS also helps to use that when your raid leader or party leader tells the shammy to use hero I've hit 4-5k easy in first 20 seconds of the fight after your initial burst its: PS>IT>DS>HS>HS>ONE DC (because your death strike will do more damage if you keep RP)

  • Tank Builds

  • 6 - 45/5/21 - DPS Off Tank It has the benefits of Bloods survivability / crits and the ability for good AOE control from Unholy.

  • 7 - 55/7/9 - Blood Tank Build DS is used in the DK blood tank spec instead of oblit.

  • 8 - 55/8/8 - Self Healing Tank This build centers around three aspects:1. Damage Reduction (Avoidance) 2. Heavy Agro Generation 3. No Fuss Self Healing

  • 9 - 58/13/0 - Blood Spec Tank\DPS I am able to tank or off tank with this build. I can also DPS with it. I know Unholy still gets higher but I have recently load a damage meter and in the last few heroics I have been in I have been second in damage done and DPS( a ret. pally beat me both times). I have Frost spec-ed as me second talent spec. When I compare the two the blood is better. I have higher HP's and better agro. The Frost spec does have higher Armor and can take a hit better, but I have been finding I can last longer in blood. The healers like it to because as a frost tank I lose agro and they start getting hit. My rotation is IT, PS, OB, HS, HS, RS, DC, and for more then one mod it is DnD, PS, IT, Pes, RS, DC, HS, HS. My crit hits for around 4.2k to 5.7k. My dps is 1.75k normally. I am still working on the T7 gear. I am miss matched right now with some tanking and some dps gear.

  • PVP Builds

  • 10 - 48/23/0 - Blood PVP build This is a PVP build based on [Lichborne]/[Death Coil] Heal and Death Strike Heal. This is mostly a build with huge survivability and and average damage. Rotation: CI>>IT>>PS>>HS>>HS>>BT>>DS If low health drop HS and do VB>>RT If Blood Tap is on CD Drop CI If target has low health I recommend keeping HS>>HS and just do Lichborne/DCx3

  • 11 - 44/0/27 - Blood PVP DS Build Its a very easy handling build which makes your DS the main attack. As you can see almost none of the talents are used to improve BS or HS and is more focused on survival no extra pet things would make build more difficult without reaping 2/3 instead of maximizing it i thought 66% was enough. The rotation is simple IT>Ps>BB(x2 or VB)>DC>DS>DS and after that you should have 90-100% hp depending on people around you and i also took in BW and RT for bad situations and if you manage to get in an auto attack between you will be able to get Necrosis and Blood-Caked strikes and impurity increases the effect of them. Hysteria are a free pop you use it before or after killing/battling an opponent or in the middle of a fight Idk.. Improved blood presence is for battling in Unholy Presence faster attacks and lower global CDS. I also tried to get imp Unholy Presence but without MoM crits wouldn't heal that much. Some pluses Increases attack power when using DS, 8% bonus str,6%Stam,6 expertise, after crit 3% physical damage 3stacks. Ghoul is Optional. Some minuses if you use DaD you have will maybe have to reset all Runes. This spec has had up to 5k dps in HoL (hc) don't know about raids.

  • 12 - 51/20/0 - PvP: Chilled Blood This build was developed to increase healing and self sufficiency in arena and some battle grounds. A rotation usable for this is IT—PS—DS—HT—HT—Obliterate—DC(optional Lichborn for healing yourself)—DC—and repeat. Also instead of DC you can use DRW before you restart cycle to increase damage greatly. I put the Endless Winter talent in for the ability to catch running enemies and for the same reason Icy Reach. Toughness is for increasing survivability and decreasing slowing effects, as an additional bonus it increases your AP because of the Bladed Armor talent in the blood tree.

  • 13 - 41/2/28 - Blood/Unholy PVP Survivability With Heals This build is mainly survivability with heals (improved DS/ rune tap/ mark of blood/ vamp blood/ blood worms/ improved blood pres/ ect.) and it also has the ghoul's help + stun for pvp, your main attack = Death Strikes obviously and since u don't have Endless Winter from frost to help u with the slowing down targets, subbed it with Desecration and Heart Strike (using the heart strike's Glyph) which also helps and either way its not like u stop using chains, just that endless winter is key for less rune usage.

  • Other Builds(Solo/Leveling/Utility)

  • 14 - 54/0/17 - Leveling - On a bloody pale horse Leveling build kind of similar to "on a bloody pale horse".

  • 15 - 61/0/10 - Blood Leveling Build #2 A blood build with good damage and survivability talents selected. You should be able to be constantly be killing without having to rest.

  • 16 - 53/18/0 - Blood Leveling Build #3

  • 17 - 53/18/0 - Blood talons (Blood/Frost dps) rotation: IT, PS, HS, HS, Obliterate. HS, HS, HS, HS. then start over with IT, PS, HS, HS, Obliterate, pop the dancing runeblade as soon as you're at full runic power

Changes that effect frost builds with 3.3 patch:
Glyph of Icey Touch changed, it now causes Frost Fever to deal +20% damage.Glyph of disease changed making it so you cannot roll diseases also using pestilence to reapply diseases will prevent Imp. Icy Talons from reapplying. The major glyphs for DPS that should be used are now: Glyph of Frost Strike,Glyph of Obliterate and Glyph of Icy Touch

    DPS Builds

  • 1 - 0/54/17 - Frost Raid DPS Build -This is the predominant Frost Spec.

  • 2 - 0/53/18 - Frost/Unholy DW Raid DPS Build -Has all the strong frost talents, as well as picking up the talents in unholy that scale well with dual wield. The rotation focuses on the power of obliterate. Killing Machine and Rime procs are to be used together to get the optimal dps. If rime procs hold it until you get a KM proc, if KM procs save it for a Rime, or let it be consumed by the FS dumps at the end of a rotation. The simple rotation is: IT PS OB BS BS Dump OB OB OB Dump Priority Rotation: Frost Fever, Blood Plague, Killing Machine + Rime, Obliterate, Blood Strike, Frost Strike

  • 3 - 3/51/17 - Frost Raid DPS Build With Agro Reduction -This is a good frost raid DPS build not as good as 0/54/17 but has Subversion to reduce threat. Most DKs will not need to use this spec unless your tank has agro issues.

  • 4 - 3/51/17 - Frost/Unholy DW Personal DPS Build -This spec sacrifices improved icey touch in order to improve personal DPS. It uses Glyph of Disease to maximize the usage of Obliterate and Rime procs. Rotation: OB -> OB -> BS -> Pest -> Dump OB -> OB -> (Dump) -> OB -> Dump

  • 5 - 3/51/17 - Frost/Unholy DW Variant -Death runes are used for OB in this spec. Killing machine should be used with rime procs whenever possible. Rotation: IT PS OB BS BS Dump OB OB OB Dump, Presence: Blood presence, Runeforges: FC/RI, Sigil: Awareness

  • 6 - 16/55/0 - Frost/Blood DPS Build

  • 7 - 15/54/2 - Frost Raid AOE DPS Build -This is the best AOE DPS build for raids and is very good for encounters with multiple targets.

  • 8 - 17/51/3 - Frost/Blood 2H Raid DPS -This build uses a 2H weapon and drops the 2H bonuses that the frost tree gets but takes the 2H bonus from the blood tree.

  • Tank Builds

  • 9 - 13/51/7 - Frost Tank Build

  • 10 - 7/52/12 - Frost Raid Tank
-Rotation: it>ps>bs>bs>oblit>dump, Multi mob rotation: fs>bb>bb or dnd>hb

  • 11 - Raid Frost 2H U/B -This spec has a good balance between mitigation, threat and aoe v/s single target. Making it a good spec for jumping between single boss tanking and taking on waves of adds. Howling Blast combined with Morbidity make non-stop aoe with lots of threat easy. Always remember to macro runestrike with all of your main attacks. Works well in 25 ToC reg. Single Rotion: IT-PS-BS-BS-OB/FS as avail, repeat --- Multi Rotion: DnD-IT-PS-Pest-HB-BB-OB/FS dump-HB-BB-BB repeat using DnD optional

  • 12 - 13/52/5 - Frost Tank Spec This spec is solid and has some runic power generation built in.

  • PVP Builds

  • 13 - 27/44/0 - Frost/Blood PVP This build is a DW build that uses healing (Rune Tap/Mark of Blood) as survivability, with DW you got really good DMG (depending on ur weapons) you got Frost Strike which is an awsome source of high DMG and Endless Winter. As DW your Killing Machine will be constantly on which makes Frost Strike even better and you also have Unbreakable Armor for extra DMG with the 10% increase to Strength.

Changes that effect Unholy Builds in patch 3.3:

-Unholy has received the biggest change with the 3.3 patch due to the redesign of Scourge Strike. Scourge Strike now does much more damage and should be being used now instead of Obliterate. Builds that were not using Scourge Strike below have been removed and new builds have been added. Scourge Strike was nerfed several days after the patch so that the shadow damage component can no longer can crit. Right now only the physical portion of the damage can crit reducing the damage the Scourge Strike can do now. This nerf does reduce damage a bit but it is still worth while over Obliterate. The change in the amount of damage Scourge Strike now effects what talents you should be taking when creating a build. Before optimal builds would always have reaping to maximize dps now however this is not always the case and it becomes gear dependant on what is the optimum build for DPS.

    DPS Builds

  • 1 - 17/0/54 - Unholy Raid Single Targe DPS(without Reaping) -This is the highest single target DPS spec if you do not have at lease 2 pieces of tier 10 or several pieces of ICC gear. This is probably going to be considered the 3.3 cookie cutter build.

    Rotation: IT – PS – BS – SS – BS – DC – HoW – SS – BS – SS – BS – DC – DC – (DC)

The Death Coil in brackets you will not always have the RP to do it.

  • 2 - 14/0/57 - Unholy Raid Single Targe DPS(with Reaping) -This builds is this highest single target DPS build if you have the gear for it, you need at least 2 pieces of tier 10 or a few pieces of ICC gear to make it worth working. If you do not have the gear use the build above without reaping.

    Rotation: IT – PS – BS – BS – SS – DC – HoW – SS – DC – SS – SS – DC – (DC)

  • 3 - 17/0/54 - Unholy AOE Raid DSP(without Reaping) - This is the best build to use for raid AOE damage if you do not have at least 2 pieces of tier 10 or several pieces of ICC gear. This spec is very similar to the single target spec and still does really good single target damange but does superior AOE damage.

    Rotation (multi-target): Initial:IT – PS – Pestilence – DnD – DC – HoW

    Rotation after initial: SS – BS – BB – SS – DC – DC - SS – Pestilence – DnD – DC – HoW

  • 4 - 17/0/54 - Unholy AOE Raid DPS(with Reaping) -This is the highest damage AOE damage spec if you have the gear to support it. In order for this gear to be the highest DPS build for your character you need to have 2 pieces of tier 10 or a few pieces of ICC gear. Use the rotation listed above for the other AOE build.

  • 5 - 19/0/52 - Mujahadeen's Blood Raid DPS Survivability -Went into blood to pick up the anti-threat stuff, improved rune tap and the increased crit chance. Skipped 2 hand weapon specialization because 4% white damage is not as important as increased crit chance in my opinion. Unlike most unholies, I skipped desecration totally because in most boss fights it doesn't work (bosses/adds move too quickly), skipped desecration because I'd rather blow my RP on death coil than on popping a disease, and skipped impurity because most DPS from a dk is from melee damage not spell damage. Instead I maxed out my ghoul, gargoyle, and the other disease-damage related abilities, and picked up corpse explosion for some burst AOE. I've found this spec maximizes my DPS and survivability in raid and PVP situations. My philosophy is: you can't DPS when you're dead.

  • 6 - 0/18/53 - Drajii's Raid DPS DW build -This is a unholy DW build really good dps almost as good as the 0/33/38 the old hybrid with HB i loved its AoE the rotation is IT,PS,SSx2,BS,UB also you want to use Ghoul frenzy as often as possible for the 25% haste and makes it hard to kill with its heal 60% of its health in 30 seconds.

    PVP Builds

  • 1 - 37/34/0 - Bloody Cold Obliterate -This build is a great pvp build. It gives you great survivability with Rune Tap, Mark of Blood, Vampiric Blood, Improved Blood Presence, Toughness, Improved Frost Presence and Hungering Cold, but this build doesn't stop at that. It allows Large burst damage, mainly from obliterate, and with Deathchill(auto crit), and Hysteria obliterate becomes deadly. Cast sequence should be IT or CoI, PS, BS, BS, Hysteria, Deathchill, OB.(feel free to pop Hysteria whenever you see fit)

  • 2 - 0/35/36 - Bone Chilling Cold -This build is similar to Bloody Cold Obliterate it just shifts its dps from two-handed melee damage to DW shadow damage. It retains survivability through Magic Suppression, Anti-Magic Zone, and Bone Shield. Plus the same frost bonuses in the previous build. This build has more consistent dps between, DW, Disease and Shadow damage, and the benefits of having a perma ghoul to chase down any kiters. Also with Deathchill you still can have fun getting those big Obliterate crits.

    Mage Builds

This area lists mage talent builds for World of Warcraft. The below builds are for the 3.1. Please note I have a lot of builds yet to add and if you wish to submit a talent spec or make a comment please email me.

    Arcane Talent Builds

  • 1 - 50/3/11 +7 - Arcane Frost PVE * Only bare essential points are taken in this build, so as to provide the most customizable build possible. Certain talents have no objective effect on DPS, such as Magic Attunement, but are useful in other ways and a good investment of remaining points. Magic Attunement and Arcane Stability protect DPS in less measurable ways, for instance, by reducing spell pushback from certain encounter mechanics, and Arcane Barrage is a useful mobile DPS spell, if not the best stationary damage spell.
Your rotations should be Arcane Blast 1, 2 or 3 times, depending on the length of the fight and your MP5 and Arcane Missiles, after the Arcane Blasts, regardless of whether Missile Barrage procs or not. Use Presence of Mind at your own preference. At least 8 points are taken in Frost for Precision, providing a 289 hitcap for Arcane spells. Going deeper in Frost for Icy Veins and into Fire for Incineration increase overall DPS, though points can be spent otherwise to adjust for your own play style.

  • 2 - 57/3/11 - Arcane Frost Raid PVE
  • Fire Talent Builds

  • 1 - 18/0/53 - Raid Deep Frost + Torment the Weak This build consists of spamming Frostbolt at all times, while casting Fireball on Brain Freeze procs, using your Water Elemental on every cooldown and stacking Icy Veins with damage trinkets and raid buffs like Bloodlust/Heroism. It invests into Arcane for Torment the Weak, a +12% damage increase for both your primary and secondary nukes.

  • 2 - 20/0/51 - Frost Arcane

  • Frost Talent Builds
  • 1 - 7/0/54 - Frost PVP -You can swap the two pts in Imp CoC for Permafrost if you like.

  • 2 - 20/0/51 - Level 80 Frost/Arcane

  • 3 - 2/0/59 - Frost PVP

  • 4 - 17/0/44 - Frost/Arcane PVP
